Fitting standard 8 base prescription lenses to a wrap frame causes prism and prescription errors due to the angle of the frame, often resulting in headaches and a feeling of discomfort. The Smith prescription program utilizes a patented lens technology that virtually adjusts your prescription for our high-wrap 8 and 9 base lens curves. Prescription ranges from +2.00 to –5.00 are now possible in your favorite Smith frames in clear, high-contrast RC36, True Color Gray, or Sienna Brown lens tints. Polarized and mirrored lens options are available as well.

Conventional wrap prescription sunglasses use a single spherical 8 base lens for every prescription in the range. Because of the angle of the frame, another result for wearers is peripheral blur. Spazio lenses by Smith incorporate three different atoric designs to minimize peripheral blur in all powers, resulting in the first prescription wrap lenses with wide, clear vision all the way to the periphery.

of -4.00 or more by using a peripheral secondary curve that's flatter
